To simulate pheasant scents, pigeons are tactfully coated with the aroma of pheasants before being placed into the birdy pigeon launcher. Now equipped with a heightened sense of smell, a hunting dog begins a quest to locate the pigeon. Meanwhile, a second hunter holds the remote control, ready to trigger the launcher at the precise moment when the dog fixates on the pigeon, a behaviour known as "pointing."
